Who are Cuan Wildlife Rescue and how do donations help?

Cuan Wildlife is a wildlife rescue centre where we take in sick, injured or orphaned wild animals and birds, with the aim of nursing them back to health. We regularly admit over 6,000 animals & birds in one year. Once fully recovered, great emphasis is placed on returning them to the wild – in most cases, this means back to the area from where they came, where they may have a mate waiting, or where, at least, they will be familiar with their territory or hunting ground. Cuan Wildlife rescue is a registered Charity which is solely dependent on donations from the public and businesses.

Without this support we simply could not operate as we do not receive any assistance from the government.

It costs £358,000 per year to pay for the day to day running costs of the hospital. This is made up of vets bills, staff salaries, specialised food for the animals and birds in our care,  medications and specialised equipment and of course utilities.

What impact does working with Evergreen have on your charity?

Evergreen is an integral cog in the Cuan Funding wheel, they have kindly supported us for some years now and we really appreciate the fact that they donate their commission for  any referrals and policies that they purchase  that have come via Cuan Wildlife Rescue’s social media pages. The Funds go towards the running costs of the hospital hence helping us to care for Shropshire’s sick, injured and orphaned wildlife which would otherwise die.

How else can people support you?

People can support us by purchasing items from our Wishlist on Amazon, joining our membership scheme, sponsoring wildlife in our care, give a meal to wildlife in our care, donate in memory of a loved one, leaving a legacy to us and corporate sponsorship.

Which campaigns are you currently running and how can people get involved?

We’ve just come to the end of a My Giving Circle campaign where supporters voted for us and we were awarded a grant of £1,000.

We are currently running a Text giving campaign where supporters can text “BABIES” to 70480 to donate £5, this campaign runs until 1st August to help feed the baby orphaned and injured wildlife that we are admitted over the Spring and Summer seasons.  We try and share this campaign on our social media pages.
