Dean Farm Trust Open Weekend - 17th / 18th June 2023
This past weekend, Dean Farm Trust held a two day celebration to recognise 10 years since their first rescue.
The Evergreen team went along to spread the word about the services we offer and meet other supporters of our charity friend. It was a great event, which was sold out, with lots of visitors and ethical businesses coming together to support the santuary.
It was great to hear from an exististing Evergreen customer who said he’d been really impressed with the service he had received from the team at Evergreen over the years. He very kindly returned with a couple of delicious vegan flapjacks which kept us going until lunch.
Later in the day, Mary thanked everybody for coming and the delight of being able to open the doors again. She announced plans for the trust to become totally self-sufficient with the ‘Home 4 Life’ Campaign so the residents will have a home for generations to come. Mary explained in her heartfelt speech of the struggles that Covid and other pressures had presented to Dean Farm Trust and the motivation it had provided to put the trust in a position of self-sufficiency. It was amazing to hear about the difference that has been made to so many lives and that will be made to many others going forward. Although our partnership with Dean Farm Trust has only just begun, yesterday enhanced everything that we already know and why Dean Farm Trust is such an incredible charity and the difference they are making to animals that would have suffered a very different fate if it wasn’t for Mary and her fantastic team in Chepstow.
We were delighted to speak to so many ethicalically minded people that share the same love for nature and wildlife as we do at Evergreen. It was great that so many people took time out of their day to speak with us about how Evergreen works and hopefully we will see many more people chosing to support Dean Farm Trust in the future when taking out their personal and commercial policies through us.
Please do visit the Trust and support them in any way you can if you get the opportunity. Please check out the images below from our day in Chepstow.
